WOOHOO!!!

Well, I did it - I bought the Bernina 230. I really am in sewing heaven! I cannot believe how easy it is to sew when a machine works the way it should. It is so smooth and virtually silent. I did some playing around last night just trying out all of the stitches - so much fun! Now I can't stop thinking about the possibilities. Oh boy, the things I've been missing...

It was a really big decision to buy something so expensive but sometimes you have to take a chance. I did ceramics for years (which I miss horribly) and one of the things I learned was the importance of good equipment. I do understand that when you really want something bad enough you can make any situation work, but there really is no substitute for quality materials/equipment. I feel that I've been selling my creations consistently enough to justify the expense... and I'm willing to eat Ramen for a few months.
