Well, I did it - I bought the Bernina 230. I really am in sewing heaven! I cannot believe how easy it is to sew when a machine works the way it should. It is so smooth and virtually silent. I did some playing around last night just trying out all of the stitches - so much fun! Now I can't stop thinking about the possibilities. Oh boy, the things I've been missing...

It was a really big decision to buy something so expensive but sometimes you have to take a chance. I did ceramics for years (which I miss horribly) and one of the things I learned was the importance of good equipment. I do understand that when you really want something bad enough you can make any situation work, but there really is no substitute for quality materials/equipment. I feel that I've been selling my creations consistently enough to justify the expense... and I'm willing to eat Ramen for a few months.

Here she is!

Isn't she beautiful?

... and with the accessories

Time to get my sew on. I have several orders that I need to finish and many experiments to try...

  1. She is beautiful! Congrats. I can't wait to see all of the beautiful projects that will be made soon. :)

  2. Thanks! I was away this weekend going crazy knowing she was home all by herself with nothing to do...
