ROUND 1: Swaps
This totally awesome doll quilt (for the Misfit Quilters Doll Quilt Swap) is from Heide Mueller-Hatton. True story: I ran around the house, jumping up and down when I opened it! I even packed it to show my friends and family back home in Jersey.

The next swap I participated in was the I Heart the 80's: Modern Sewing Swap. This was such a fun swap! All of the projects were excellent. You should really check them out. Of course, I did receive the BEST package!! Really, does it get any better than this?! Look at that Star Wars swag :D Thanks again, Karen!
This is my 80's swap package. I love the cassette fabric and eventually will make myself something fun with the remnants :) P.S. It took considerable willpower not to keep those Smurf buttons ;)
Round 2: Blockhead Quilt
This was my first quilt commission and there were many times where I questioned my sanity. This sucker was huge!! An over-sized queen to be exact. And thanks to its new owner, I have 'action' pics. Thanks, Kim!

Okay, so this isn't exactly a sewing project but I thought it would be a nice way to end this update. On July 4th, I opened the door to let my cats in and this is what I saw:
Meet Bones, the newest Miller. He was a lot smaller but just as cute!
This ends the summer update portion. Next time I will highlight some new projects. Until then, may the force be with you all!
Love them all, the quilt is great!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! And thanks for commenting, you rock ;)
ReplyDeleteYou're alive! Woohoo!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the post with all the updates. I really super love the doll quilt you made for the swap, and I LOVE the blockhead quilt.
Give Mr. Bones a snuggle from me =)
Thanks :) One day I will post a tutorial for the Blockhead... one day. And as soon as that crazy cat stops climbing up the walls (literally), I will give him your snuggle. Haha.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your work. Your creativity never ceases to amaze me!
