Monday's Musical Muse

Two weeks in a row?! I know you're impressed :)

So far, I've held back from using my top three bands. However, while I was driving home from work today, this band came up on my iPod and I thought, 'yeah, you really need to make Radiohead today's muse'. And 'hear' we are.

They've been around since the Early 90's when their first full-length album, Pablo Honey, was released. If you're even close to my age, you probably remember hearing Creep everywhere on the radio.

Although every album they release has some sort of brilliance to it, my personal favorite is In Rainbows. I truly believe that this needs to make it into one of those 'top 100 albums of all time' lists. It really is one of the best albums I've ever heard.

I had a really hard time deciding which video to include but I figured I'd go with a fun song. Whenever I hear Jigsaw Falling Into Place it makes me want to write. Maybe it's because the song paints such a vivid picture of... well, I'll just let you listen - hopefully, you'll be inspired too, or at least feel the need to dance!

The Force is what gives a Jedi his power.
It's an energy field created by all living things.
It surrounds us and penetrates us.
It binds the galaxy together.

  1. I LOVE In Rainbows. I saw them live in the last year, and it totally hooked me on their newer stuff. I was a longtime Bends fan, and at the time, a little peeved they didn't play anything from the Bends (I guess they don't really at all anymore). But then I realized it's because of the brilliance of In Rainbows. I can't wait for their new album too - what I've heard of it so far is so good!!

    1. I would LOVE to see them live! They were playing in Philly last June but I wasn't able to go. They also played NoVA but I missed that too :( Hoping to make it the next time around.
